Rain Dance
it's just past noon
and raining lightly
where I'm waiting
for the girl
with perfect eyes
watching everyone else
walking with classmates
talking on celphones
dodging raindrops
passing me by
I left my player
on my desk
could have used it
to help me
kill time
a soundtrack
for this hour-long
anticipation
of her smile
and shy looks away
when complimented
I like that part
how it feels like
an elaborate dance
but
it's half past twelve
and still raining
when I head inside
wondering if I mis-stepped.
