A Moment Lost in Time

a moment lost in time
your fingers laced with mine
like they were meant to be
another part of me

another moment slips
through restless fingertips
while tracing thoughtful lines
along the curve of your spine

I'm living in the space I find
between thoughts of you in my mind
waiting for moments only we share
breathing you like I once breathed air

another moment flies
as I'm lost in your eyes
hours and days, months and years
everything disappears

a moment to embrace
while tears streak down your face
held in arms that you know
one day won't let you go
