this hand
doesn't thrill me
these cards
seem to hold
little potential
for the win
fold? bluff?

enter and leave play
perhaps trading
a spade for a heart
when your turn comes

what you are dealt
and so I am
trusting the Dealer
will see
in my eyes
the desperate need
for the turn
of a friendly card
